The heart is slow to learn - 1998년 Andrew Lloyd Webber의 50세 생일을 축하하는 영국 Royal Albert Hall에서 열린 콘서트에서 Dame, Kiri Te Kanawa 가 부른 노래이다. Webber 의 "The Phantom of the Opera"의 속편으로 계획된 "Phantom II" 중의 노래로 설명되었는데 10년이 넘어 지난 2010년 3월 9일, London의 Adelphi Theatre에서 "Love Never Dies"라는 제목으로 이 속편이 공연되었다. 이 musical의 title song 격인 극 중 Christine의 노래 "Love never dies"는 위 "The heart is slow to learn"의 가사를 바꾼 노래로 미국 출신 Sierra Boggess가 불렀다. Jenkins는 왜 이 노래를 취입하여 promote하는지 이해가 가지 않는다. Webber가 부탁하였다 하는데 확인할 수는 없고... 그녀의 이쁜 얼굴처럼 이쁘게만 부르는데 음역을 포함한 여러 부분에서 부족하다는 생각이 든다. Boggess 또한 노래의 마지막 closing 처리에서 아마츄어의 냄새가 풍기기는 하지만 그래도 Jenkins에 비하면 훨씬 낫다는 판단이다.
