그리스의 여성 작곡가 엘레니 카라인드루가
에우리피데스의 비극 <트로이 여인들>을 새롭게 창조하였다.
고대 그리스를 배경으로 한 서사적 무용, 연극, 무대장치에
그리스 민속음악에 바탕을 둔 카라인드루의 애절한 음악까지
현대 예술의 총화라 불릴 수 있는 걸작이다.

특히 리라로 연주되는 <애가>와
합창과 소프라노의 앙상블로 펼치는 아름다운 노래 <파로도스>,
그리고 긴 여정의 끝 <엑소도스>에서 펼치는 감동의 총주까지
우리를 고대 그리스로 안내하여 서양음악의 처음과 끝을 연결하고 있다.
